Alongside a stunning tree lined drive, is the front entrance to The Oaks, built in 2012, with the vision to create a contemporary Aged Care facility in a rural setting. Reflecting the Australian landscape, ochre coloured wood panels, timber beams and local Mt Gambier stone flank the exterior of the building. The comfortably appointed 42 bed facility is sympathetically decorated in natural, earthy tones of ochre, sandy brown, cobalt blue, green and grey. Natural timber flooring and cabinetry feature throughout, creating a warm, embracing ambience.

We believe life is to be lived with purpose, enthusiasm and enjoyment. Our caring staff encourage our residents to participate in both group and individual activities where possible. Several shared lounge areas provide residents with the perfect opportunity to socialise and partake in activities such as cards, bingo, craft and gardening sessions with our local gardening expert. Our central communal area is a popular spot for resident to congregate for movie nights or to be entertained by the relaxing tunes of guitar music soulfully strummed by our fabulous activities person. The library nook is a cosy spot to enjoy reading a favourite book, do a puzzle or be challenged by a mind game.

Large double glass doors flank either side of the communal area, allowing natural light to fill the space. On one side double doors open to an outdoor entertaining area, where residents are often seen sitting and enjoying the fresh country air with our resident companion "Brax" and pet sheep! On the opposing side lies a courtyard providing residents with raised garden beds, where they can keep in touch with their green thumbs and nurture flowers or an herb or two. The courtyard is an ideal place to sit and appreciate the views, take in the smell of morning dew on hay bales, the perfume of rose bushes gently wafting through the air and listen a while to the soothing sounds of farm life in near by fields.
